The Well Done Series books are unique as they take the reader through elementary school by following a core group of characters. Each book walks the reader through a life challenge and provides guidance as told through the stories in the book. The series consists of stories that have layers of meaningful messages, teaching children life skills in an exciting, non-didactic way. The stories will have memorable characters with an emotional and strong voice that engages the heart and fosters attitudes of empathy, caring and respect, friendship, and bullying prevention. In addition, the stories utilize self-regulation to reduce problem behaviors, consider family dynamics, and promote empowering children to solve problems. Furthermore, the characters in the series are diverse and expand the readers’ understanding of social-emotional learning to help them emotionally, socially, relationally, and academically.

The Well Done Series books are not only for children but for parents as well. Parents are important and crucial in the lives of their children. When they acknowledge their child’s feelings and moods, they are providing emotional support and telling them they’re listening to them and that their emotions are important. When parents understand and empathize with their children, they are showing compassion and love in action.

When parents acknowledge their child’s feelings and moods, they are providing emotional support and telling them they’re listening and that their emotions are important.

A story FOR PARENTS AND CHILDREN TO HELP WITH THE JOURNEY THROUGH SCHOOL

Grant’s First Day of School is a book for children starting school. It is starting children off on the way they should go. The story utilizes self-regulation to reduce problem behaviors, consideration for family, and promotes empowering children to solve problems and the fear of starting school. The book can be introduced when kids are starting school to ease their fear and anxiety. This book is the first book in the series that takes the reader through elementary school by following a core group of characters. It is an easy read with illustrations. The challenges, circumstances, and examples in this book make it appropriate for therapists, mental health practitioners, counselors, schools, daycare settings, and the home.
