Come and Sit with Me Awhile

A COLLECTION OF POETRY & COLORING PAGES

Would you like to sit alone with the Father and discover His heart for you today, as His child, in your struggles?

Then this collection of poetry will be a breath of fresh air for you. Sharon found her true identity in Christ as she learned to get alone with God and spend time with Him. This collection of poetry chronicles her discovery that God was the only One who could really meet her needs and heal her hurts. He knew her heart intimately like no one else could, and she was created for a purpose and for intimacy with the Father.

Take some time with this book. Think on the words of each page and color as you dwell on them. Put yourself in these poems. Let God speak to you. He loves you, my friend!

INSIDE THE BOOK

This special collection you hold in your hands today is the result of her [Sharon's] continued sensitivity to God as she lives what she writes. I pray that as you read, you will come and sit quietly along with Sharon and encounter Jesus in a deep place in your own spirit, as the answers you seek will come..."

SHARON SWAIN

AUTHOR    |    POET

Sharon brings a fresh voice of freedom, joy, and encouragement as she shares in various settings words of hope through the poetry the Lord has laid upon her heart. She has authored three poetry books: “Come and Sit with Me Awhile,” “All My Desire,” and “Walking in Favor, Stepping into Grace.”

Sharon’s call upon her life is to write out of an “as you go” mentality; knowing the believer is complete in Christ, listening for His voice, and “walking out” their new life in Christ. She is passionate about the reader understanding their true value and worth is found in their identity in Him – their union and intimacy with Jesus. Christ is their life and lives His life in and through them. Her deepest desire is for Christians to get “unstuck”– and come out of listening to the voice of the enemy to focusing on keeping their eyes on Jesus. Out of shame, regret, condemnation, fear, guilt, you name it! And into understanding they are enough in Jesus and complete in Him.

She is passionate about studying the Word of God with other believers and is also involved in an international women’s ministry. Sharon and her husband Ron are retired and live in Aledo, Texas, near their son and his family.

"Come and Sit with Me Awhile is a beautiful collection of devotional poetry written at the genesis of Swain’s writing journey. In keeping with her original concept, this volume of poetry has a little something her later works do not: coloring pages!

Complete with more than 50 poems and more than 60 floral coloring pages, Swain’s work invites readers to linger with poems resulting from an intimate walk with Jesus while coloring and reflecting on their own walks with Jesus.

Writing from a place of devotion and intimacy with the Lord herself, Swain’s greatest desire for her readers is that they, too, would know the beauty of relationship with Jesus. Come and sit with her awhile, and may you encounter the Jesus she loves so much in the pages of her poetry."
